Matchbox Twenty

Hammersmith Apollo, London 12 June 2001

I got the ticket for Heng and myself off this wanker of a tout in Leicester Square who almost did not deliver. He did and the seats were quite good. Heng and I could not believe we would finally see our hero Rob Thomas! We were surprised they'd even come to England because they're not really known here and it was probably only because of Rob's duet with Santana that people more or less knew of him. But still. Call me biased but the concert was bloody brilliant; Mad Season was great live and of course, they ended with Push which they must be so sick of by now.

Wembley Arena, London 7 September 2003

They didn't sell out Wembley but then again, they're still not big in the UK and probably never will be. Me and Heng, sadly, knew all the songs (well I did). Rob rocked!
